Guided Forest Therapy Walk at Weston Park- Friday 22nd November 10am-12pm

Join us for this slow guided Forest Therapy walk amongst the beautiful trees at Weston Park.  I will guide you through a series of activities that involve slow walking, tuning into nature using all of our senses, sitting and observing and enjoying feeling connection.

Join us for a relaxing walk in the beauty of Weston Park. Be in awe of the towering Californian Redwood and Pondorosa Pines with their smooth and ridged bark inviting exploration. Look upwards and drink in the majesty of the tree canopy, arching above cool and green against the warming sun’s rays. Drink in the glowing warmth of autumn colours adorning the trees. Relax and linger to breathe in deeply the clean air rich with healing aerosols.  Slow down and allow your whole being to enjoy this time, just for you, to connect ..,relax, reset, restore and return to yourself.

Originating in Japan in the 1980's, Shinrin Yoku (Forest Bathing or immersion in the forest) was found to be an effective preventative health practice that also connected people more deeply with the beautiful forests. Ongoing research has shown that trees and plants give off volatile oils called phytoncides that have physiological and psychological benefits for us.
The guided Forest Therapy  walk will boost our immune systems, reduces our stress, regulate pulse and blood pressure and helps us feel calm amidst the everyday stresses of modern life.
